Airy smoky-purple, feathery foliage with tall flowering stems topped with airy delicate yellow summer flowers. Can self seed about, but easy to remove if not wanted. Likes it dry and airy- a simple but wonderful plant for any dry sunny spot. Edible fronds and aromatic seeds carry a mild licorice-anise flavor, young fronds often used to garnish salads. Very hardy but would rot off if bogged in the winter.
