Gomphostygma Virgatum

(Buddleja Virgata L.f.)

From stream sides and open habitats from a wide range in the southern half of Africa this is technically described as an under shrub with a woody base, 0.5–2 m. It is a great, easy and useful silver leaved subshrub in my mind. White flowers from July-Autumn. It grows in a vertical form, leaves are narrow, willow-like, almost cylindrical, and greyish-green in colour. Described often as liking moisture, does very well for me in a dry situation.

• Position: Full sun
• Flowering time: Spring - Autumn
• Flower colour: White
• Hardiness:  Hardy with drainage
• Height x Spread: 1.5 - 2 meters  x 1.5 meters in time

1 litre £8.50
