Native to a broad swath of Eurasia, stretching from East-Central and Southeastern Europe across to Central Asia and Siberia, forming a dense miniature forest of stiff upright stems, clumped in finely-cut silver-grey scented foliage. Spreads by underground stems, thrives in drought. Excellent to use mixed into dry planting. Cut back when looking shabby. A drought foliage plant not grown for it flowers.
